My Daily Act :: This quote was a good reminder today to be as kind to myself as I try to be to others; to care for myself as much as I care for others. That includes my self-care, but also my self-talk and self-acceptance. I wasn’t as active as I would have liked to be this week. I could beat myself up about what I believe I should have done or criticize myself for how I chose to spend my time, neither of which is helpful. Or I could approach myself with compassion and see it as a learning opportunity. Today, I choose compassion.
If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.
